Warm Thoughts!

Winter has arrived in our neck of the woods. The mercury rarely creeps above the 30-degree mark these days and now that the pond behind the barn is frozen, teams are forming for the annual Putney Student Travel broomball tournament! Several other signs of winter prevail: the 2008 Putney Catalog is landing in mailboxes across the US, alumni families in over 30 cities are gearing up to host slideshow presentations for prospective students and their families, and our summer 2008 enrollment season is already in full swing! We predict that several of our programs will fill before long, so we suggest checking in with us to make sure there is still space available in the program that most interests you.

Slideshow Presentations

Winter is also the time when Putney Directors offer slideshow presentations in alumni homes across the US. Click here to see a complete slideshow schedule including dates, times and locations.

You can also view our slideshows online! Click here to receive an extensive slideshow for a particular program via email.

2008 Putney Catalog Released!

We here at the barn are very proud of our latest publication, weighing in at 100 pages, 347 photographs, and 37 programs on 6 continents! We’d also like to thank all of our participants who offered their inspiring testimonials and outstanding photographs. The front cover features Addie Thompson and some new friends from this summer’s Global Action program in Malawi, focusing on Health Care and the AIDS Crisis. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to receive a 2008 Catalog please contact us at (802) 387-5000, by emailing info@goputney.com or request a catalog online

Please enjoy this month’s Notes from the Barn, in which we ask the tough questions to two Putney People involved in Putney’s Community Service program in Tanzania, John Linsley, a leader, and Danny Feinberg, a participant. You will also find more information on our new group of Global Action programs focusing on Public Health and an adult community service program in Vietnam for Spring 2008.

Our best winter wishes!!
From everyone at the Putney Barn
