Welcome to March’s edition of Notes from the Barn!

Many of our programs are filling fast! If you would like to join us this summer, please don’t wait to contact us to find out more about our Community Service, Global Action, Language Learning, Cultural Exploration, Excel and Putney Foundations programs from students, grades 7 through 12.

We have just returned from extensive travels around the US meeting with prospective students and their families. If you missed our slide show presentation in your town, please call us at (802) 387 5000 and we can email you an online version.

In this newsletter, we feature Putney’s Excel program at Amherst College. Excel at Amherst is one of the best ways to get the most from your summer—and it is located on one of the world’s best college campuses. We have also put a spotlight on Excel Instructor Josh Duclos, who is returning for his fourth summer at Amherst. Finally, we have a recap of our Community Service Day in New York City.

You can help us spread the word about Putney! If you would like to represent Putney at your school, PTA, book club, etc., let us know. We will send you information on how to get involved!

Without further ado, we invite you to click on the links to the left to continue reading this installment of Notes from the Barn.

Yours,
Jeffrey and Peter Shumlin
